How your details are handled

This page covers this website and its consultation request form. It was written from the page’s own code, and it says only what the code does.

Who is responsible

What the form collects

• What you would like to improve (one of the listed options), your timing, and how and when you would like us to reach you.
• Your first name, and your phone number and/or email address.
• An optional note of up to 300 characters. Please do not include medical history; we go over it privately at your visit.
• Whether you chose to be texted, and which version of the texting consent wording was on screen.

With each request the page also sends: the address of the page you landed on and any campaign tags in it (such as utm_source, gclid or fbclid), the page that referred you, and your browser type. The request service stores a one-way, salted scramble of your IP address, and a separate one of your phone number or email address, to stop abuse; neither can be turned back into the original.

What we use it for

Only to arrange your consultation and reply to you, and to count which advertising brought requests. We do not sell it.

Who sees it

• The clinic. Staff receive each request by email. If an email alert fails, the request is included in full in the next day’s summary email instead.
• Cloudflare runs the service that receives and stores requests.
• Resend delivers the email alert to the clinic’s inbox.
• Vercel hosts this page and, if enabled, counts visits without cookies.
• Google serves the map near the bottom of the main page. The map loads only when you scroll to it, and Google then receives your IP address and browser type, as with any embedded map.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads, only if you have not opted out (see below): Google counts page views and which buttons were used (for example “a phone link was tapped” or “a request was sent”), and Google Ads learns that a request was sent. Google also receives your IP address, your browser type and the page address, including any ad click id in it (gclid). Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and Google never receives what you picked, typed or wrote.
• Meta, only if you have not opted out (see below): when the page loads, and when a request is sent, Meta learns that it happened. Like any website it loads from, Meta also receives your IP address, your browser type and the page address, including any ad click id in it (fbclid). It never receives what you picked, typed or wrote.
• Moxie, our booking system, if you follow a link to book online: the link carries the campaign tags from your first visit (for example which ad or search brought you), so we can tell which of our ads lead to booked visits. It never carries what you picked, typed or wrote.

Texts

If you choose “Text me”, this wording is shown beside that choice: “By choosing text, you agree that Marie Shelley Laser & Medspa may text you about this request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.” We only text you about your request. Reply STOP at any time.

How long it is kept

Requests are kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically.

What is stored in your browser

This page keeps the campaign tags from your first visit (ms_attribution) and a form session number (ms_submission_id) in your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab; the session number lets a retry of the form avoid creating a duplicate. If you use “Your privacy choices”, that choice is kept in your browser’s local storage (ms_ads_optout). The page itself sets no cookies. If Meta’s measurement code loads (see below), Meta sets its own cookies, _fbp and, after an ad click, _fbc. If Google’s measurement code loads, Google sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*, and _gcl_* after a Google ad click).

Your choices

• Opt out of advertising measurement: use “Your privacy choices” at the bottom of any page. The page also honours Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, neither Meta’s nor Google’s measurement code loads.
• See, correct or delete your request: email glow@marieshelley.com and we will do it.
